South Dakota has expanded its cooperation with ICE through a Highway Patrol 287(g) agreement and continued state support for immigration-enforcement operations. In October, the governor extended National Guard administrative assistance through September 2027 and announced additional federal funding, while state officials reported hundreds of immigration-related arrests and more than 1,000 deportation cases processed since July 2025.
